So I just did some basic editing, corrected certain sentences, and moved some words around to make it flow better. I think it sounds like a great essay, the only problems I think you have are: the tangent you go on about a beauty shop (i think you should cut that out completely), and the last sentence should be more moving. Otherwise good job!

I can still hear my peers in my fifth grade class explaining how they all wanted to be doctors, lawyers, teachers, basketball players, or somebody famous when they grew up. However, that was not me. Although I hadn't decided on a career to pursue yet, I knew that I eventually wanted to make something of myself and be successful in life.

Over the years, I have attended at least eleven different schools. Most of these changes were due to my family seeking medical treatment for my younger brother. I don't feel bitter about these adjustments, for I learned to cope and express myself through writing and poetry

Education is my biggest priority in my life right now. My objective is to complete college with a master’s degree in Health Care administration and to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Business. I understand that in college I will not have anyone there to push me, or make me strive to take advantage of my education. I’ll have to work and study on my own.

I have a strong passion for helping people. I love giving advice to my family, as well as my friends. I am currently working as a counselor at “The Epilepsy Foundation of NJ” in a program called “Out-N-About”. Our basic goal is to offer disabled teens and young adults with recreational and socialization opportunities. We take them bowling, shopping, to the movies, and many outings to restaurants. Working with disabled individuals has taught me a lot. It has taught me how to have patience and that even though they have a handicap, it does not mean that they are not capable of living like everyone else.

Becoming a Health Care Administrator has not always been a something I wanted to do with my life. I had formerly wanted to go to school for nursing but, because of my huge phobia of blood I figured I should major in the next best thing. Ever since my younger brother was diagnosed with cancer at an early age, I have always wanted to work in a hospital helping people that are not in good health. I also want to open up my own hair salon. I don’t plan to work in it; I just want to own it. Doing hair was something I have always done since I was about thirteen or fourteen years old. One of the reasons why I decided not to go to school for cosmetology is because, I easily get bored with doing hair. I plan to open up my first beauty salon in Georgia and then expand to different states across the East Coast.

I want to make a difference. I know I can, but first I need to learn how to use my mind more effectively. Over the past few years I’ve learned by watching my co-workers, friends, and family that in order for me to accomplish my goals I must first complete my education.

Have you been aware that education can take you to places you have never imagined? Day after day, we see commercials illustrating that a higher education can put you in a higher social and financial position. For instance, we encounter big posters at school stating, "Learn more to Earn more.” Many may agree or disagree with this statement, but overall it helps encourage students to further their education. For example, we see that most Los Angelenos embrace the diversity of college campuses to distinguish a good or bad instructor. Many individuals have found teaching rather boring to the extent of falling asleep in class. So does education pay off in the end? Time invested in gathering knowledge is not only wise, but essential for the future of all individuals because individuals with instructions have a greater opportunity to get a well paying job, gain more power and discover a new world of excitement.
First of all, it is clear that you need a higher education in order to work in a high paying position. In order to obtain a Doctorate degree or a Masters’ degree, which you need for many professional jobs, schools will require large investments of time and money. (For example, my aunt spent many years earning a Masters’ Degree in Psychology. Now she makes a high salary working as a Psychologist at Belmont High School.)—-If this is a formal essay, you shouldn't use the first person voice, or the personal tone—– (There are two main types of occupations: white- collar and blue-collar.)——again, if this is a formal essay, don't use colons, make it into a sentence.——— Having a white-collar job means that you do not require a uniform. You either work in an office or in a professional environment. Having a blue-collar job refers to a worker such as a miner mechanic who often wears blue or khaki clothes or specialized protective clothing. They also may have unskilled speech and attitude.
Moreover, with further education individuals understand that their knowledge brings out greater power. According to Webster’s Dictionary, power means the ability to act or produce an effect, authority, control, or a sovereign state. A good example of a man who used education to gain power is Malcolm X. As a Muslim leader, Malcolm X achieved a great number of supporters who in turn empowered him. He was able to produce an effect when a disciple of his was brutally hurt and was not receiving the best of health care. Using his knowledge of rights and laws, Malcolm X insured that the authorities issued his student the best possible care. However, having a great amount of power is meaningless in many cases. Many individuals misuse their powers by portraying them negatively. For example, Paris Hilton has squandered her power and money in senseless things.——-I wouldn't say that's a great example. You talked about influential powers in the previous example, so I would go with a bad politial leader or something of the sort as an example rather than a celebrity——— In the Bible, King Solomon used wisdom to expand the kingdom of Israel. Having wisdom with power is the answer to many of our problems.
In addition, further learning may open us, students to a new world of excitement. Malcolm X said to himself, "that between Mr. Muhammad's teachings,
    Molina 3
my correspondence, my visitors, and my reading of books, months passed without me even thinking about being imprisoned. While being in prison for many years and stimulating his mind through encyclopedic learning he learned to liberate himself from his surroundings. In my life, educating myself about The Bible has opened my eyes to which is the truth about life." The same is true when a student opens a book and learns. When such students are challenged, obviously our college campuses will be full of excitement for life.
In conclusion, further investment in education has a positive effect. An individual may see a clearer picture of where they want to stand in their society. They could be able to make wiser choices not only about what career path they plan to take but also a wiser decision in their lives when it comes down to their health and family. The time has come for us, as students, to dedicate our time and our future to education.
